My partner and I visited Annie’s on Sunday, we made a reservation a couple of hours before which I would advise as it’s a popular place! There’s so much choice when it comes to burgers, even if you’re a fussy vegan or whatever they can accommodate you on all choices. Our server/waitress Emily was very good, polite and proficient. The food itself was very nice, burgers cooked nicely and chips tasty. Value wise, kinda what you should expect really. I’ve given Annie’s 5-Stars, but the only thing letting it down was the toilets. The gents was partially out of use, and the sink/taps in the disabled was also out of use - but I’m sure they’re just waiting on a good plumber!!

Came here for a family birthday. The staff made us all feel very welcome, especially our server Leon. If you're looking for burgers with a difference, this is definitely the place to come. 3 pages of the menu were dedicated to an incredible choice of burger combinations. It took us all a while to decide. There were a couple of small errors with our orders, but they were all sorted out immediately and without any fuss at all. We even got to meet Annie herself who was over on a visit from the United States!! All in all a brilliant night out and we will be back!!

Awesome burger restaurant, one of the best I've been to and a welcome addition to Derby. Located in a former non-traditional church it's quite light and airy but not cold or uncomfortable. The Portside Tavern (part of Annie's but separate) is comfortable with a traditional pub vibe. The menu is massive (over 40 burgers I believe) all available as meat, vegetarian and vegan with some pretty unusual combinations. There's also a decent selection of sides, however be warned the portions are massive...seriously huge. All the burgers come with a choice of fries, wedges etc (far to many places charge extra for fries nowdays). The staff were all genuinely friendly and polite, they actually seemed like they wanted to be there. We were also asked if we had any food allergies or intolerances, the first time we've ever been asked, so well done. Really good drinks menu too, including some excellent local craft beers.

Absolutely brilliant: friendly service, beautiful building, tasty beer and hot freshly cooked funky burgers! Never tasted a beef burger as good as this in all my life, it has to be the curly fries too! Really liked the Christmas dinner burger, a combination of perfect cheeses combined with the most amazing burger. Annie’s in Derby and Nottingham are must go to places for any burger enthusiasts! Don’t delay go today!

[DISCLAIMER: Photos I've provided are of the time I've spent eating at Annie's and to show the meals and general presentation. Some of the meals may no be available anymore due to them being a one-time-only, or a canceled item like the amazing breakfast menu they had for a while.] We've always had great food here. I sometimes have a late breakfast and skip lunch so I can eat their American sized portions. Wild monthly / bi-monthly / seasonal specials. Don't be afraid to take your burger apart or rearrange it if you can't fit it in you mouth. I've been having drinks in a stein with my meals, working through their on-tap ales. You can have a cocktail in a stein (I recommend the Don Father), though that costs extra. Presumably you can have a simple drink like a coke in one, I've never thought to ask. Even though they are currently training new staff there have been little to no mistakes, but if any have come up they were sorted as best and as quickly as possible! We always leave full and satisfied, what we don't eat we ask for a box to take it home in to eat later, or re-heat it for lunch the next day. Ordering for a delivery is just as tasty, it's is wrapped up far better than most regular takeaways wrap their food.

Welcome to Annie’s Burger Shack, a delightful burger destination nestled in the heart of Derby on Friary Street. This charming eatery has quickly established itself as a favorite among locals and visitors alike, thanks to its eclectic menu and warm atmosphere. The space, housed in a former church, offers a unique ambiance that is both light and airy, making it a comfortable spot for casual dining.

At Annie’s, the burger offerings are nothing short of impressive, boasting a staggering selection of over 40 unique recipes. Whether you're a dedicated meat lover or following a vegan lifestyle, there's an option for everyone. Each burger can be customized to suit individual preferences, ensuring that even the fussiest eaters find something to enjoy. This inclusive approach to dining has garnered rave reviews from patrons like Gareth Taylor, who appreciated the extensive choices and the polished service from friendly staff, including Emily, who made everyone's experience memorable.

The restaurant truly shines in its ability to cater to large groups, making it an ideal venue for celebrations. Marcus Harrison's recent family birthday gathering highlighted the welcoming nature of the staff and the array of creative burger combinations that took the group some time to ponder over. The enthusiasm displayed by the servers reflects a genuine passion for the food they serve, and the opportunity to meet Annie herself during a visit from the U.S. adds a personal touch that guests treasure.

Portion sizes are generous—something Barry Eggleton noted with delight. Diners can expect their burgers to come with a hefty side of fries or wedges, ensuring that no one leaves feeling hungry. The restaurant’s commitment to quality extends beyond just the burgers; they also have a commendable selection of local craft beers, enhancing the dining experience further. Plus, attention to detail shines through with staff asking about food allergies, ensuring everyone can enjoy their meal safely.

Despite a few minor hiccups with orders, as witnessed during Marcus's visit, the staff's prompt response to rectify any issues solidifies Annie’s reputation for excellent service. The bustling atmosphere, combined with the inviting decor, makes every visit a delightful adventure for the taste buds.

All things considered, Annie’s Burger Shack is not just about satisfying hunger; it’s about creating memorable experiences through mouthwatering food and exceptional service. This Derby gem is undeniably worth a visit for anyone seeking burgers with a difference. Don’t forget to make a reservation, though—it’s become quite the hot spot!
